This week’s life lesson

After almost one year of college done I have learned some things. Many of the things that you take for granted during you 18, 19 and for some of you 20 years of living at home, you find out just how much you needed them or how much you expected to always have them. So below is a couple of thing that you no longer get once you go to college. I will add more as the weeks go on.

By the way…this list is mainly for people who no longer live and home and go to college. not the lazy assholes who still live with their parents.

1. Toilet paper- you don’t think that much about it. It’s always there, hanging on the wall waiting to wipe your ass. What you find out though is that once you go to college you no longer have your two-ply quilted toilet paper. No you now have one ply paper. And this paper can come in many different levels of softness, from mildly rough to sandpaper. A piece of advice…you may want to steal some paper from your parents…
2. If you thought that the school lunch was bad…just wait. College students order lots of pizza not just because we get hungry at night; it’s also because we know that it is safe to eat. We don’t have to worry about what we might be eating or if it has been cooked enough. If you are worried about what you are eating…go salad bar. You cant mess up lettuce so you are usually safe eating that…or anything that comes in a sealed bag
3. Another thing is being able to snake on stuff. At home if you got hungry you walked twenty feet to the kitchen and found something to eat. And chances are that there was something to eat or make. In college you get a small fridge and whatever small snacks that you have. And if you want something warm or fresh you have to get dressed and walk to whatever dining center is open to get something to eat, and if its closed you have to get in you car and drive around till you find somewhere that serves food at two in the morning.

Karl is many things... a pilot, a photographer, a crazy mother fucker, and most of all, the most awesome guy to have around when you want to do something horribly irresponsible...
